India is Rich no one could break it without understanding its culture look at the
British Plan for India in 1835 The text in the picture gives us clarity on the British Plan to conquer India.
How could they conquer us? With so much of richness? Now, the things to look at are:
- We allowed British to enter and the respect we have given to them by treating as “our guests” was misused by them.
- We were forced to learn and follow their education system
- We were made weak and our weakness was their strength.
- Few strong willed people those days, now popular as freedom fighters, were enough for the British rule to end
Most of us know the struggle Indians went through those days when the British were ruling us.
Firstly India still is rich in its culture. And still the backbone of this country is the moral values and people of caliber.
How can we apply this culture in today’s world?
Now this reminds me of ‘Rang De Basanti’ movie, this movie shows about application of the values and things that can be learnt from the freedom struggle and freedom fighters. The movie shows what can the inspiration from our own heros do, it makes lot of difference when we apply them, some might look at it as violence but its actually patriotism to the fullest extent and realization of the values and the history this country has left.
It took only very few Indians to throw all the British away from our country, just imagine when each one of the Indians those days would have been fighting the British would have never dared to enter our premises.
Each individual in India today can make a lot of difference and when we all get together then just imagine the strength we have and we can be potentially on par with the super powers of this world.
Lets learn from Rang De Basanti, lets apply our culture and our morals ethics positively where ever we can. For example: Office work place, schools, colleges, etc. This will help us start in a small way and we’ll surely build the strength and grow from strength to strength and a day will come when India becomes the super power, not for violence but for its richness and quality of life.

Ok may be i have a habit of contradicting but lets do it anyway.....by beleiving Macaulay are you again not beleiving an
Englisman just because it suits ur idea.
Secondly while no doubt we were rich but its not just english most invaders who tried got in and succeeded in india. There were enough people ready to betray.take it from Alexander the great only.So for india all those centuries of safety was it less accessible and unsuitable conditions for foreigners.
being proud of oneself is one thing but no self introspection is no good.Just saying british corrupted our culture is no good.what was broken was breakable...just that we were lucky no one tried it before the british.
British left india because it was at that point more troublesome and not profitable to maintain it with all the trouble.they took away enough for years and left creating enough trouble which ensured india would be held back for many years.
The fact is our culture is fine as long as we were isolated but we must also embrace change and not just go on and on about culture.British was in the end thrown out by people who learnt their education system well and had good knowledge of our culture and mobilised a bunch of people willing to be led. This shows one thing...in india there are like all over the world enough followers and if ur a person of calibre you can take them down any path.......suiting you using the same stuff called culture. What we need is be adaptable and understand the opposite enemies well and take what is good still in our culture.Culture cannot be a baselined book or set of rules that are not changeable.Culture is what evolves....and thats why our culture was good till it evoled...when we started using traditios as culture it degenerated.....I can say lot more but may be later.
